East Java has numerous plantation crops, including apples, guava, oranges, cocoa, moringa, and sugarcane. Wild plants are commonly found around crops in plantation areas. Plantation crops are at risk from biotic disturbances caused by these plants, which requires adequate management. Knowing the dominant weeds in the region allows for effective control. Weed dominance is measured using a species IVI (Importance Value Index). The purpose of this study is to investigate how weeds spread throughout each plantation area. The quadrat technique is used to manage inventories. Three samples are collected from each land and measured according to a formula. The dominant weeds in each plantation land are as follows: apple=Cyperus rotundus, guava=Parietaria judaica, orange=Mikania scandens, cocoa=Persicaria odorata, moringa=Muhlenbergia schreberi, and sugarcane=Dactylotenium aegyptium. Control is based on weed groups, namely broad-leaved (Parietaria judaica, Mikania scandenes, and Persicaria odorata), as well as narrow-leaved (Muhlenbergia schreberi), and nutsedge (Cyperus rotundus). Weeds in the land may threaten crops, thus it must be managed. Controls have to conform to its principles so that they may be carried out properly and efficiently.
Puji Lestari Tarigan Copyright (c) 2024 Puji Lestari Tarigan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-05-31 2024-05-31 2 1 1 9 10.33005/agrocentrum.v2i1.18 Kajian Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) dengan Variasi Umbi Benih https://agrocentrum.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/agrocentrum/article/view/20
The effect of seed tuber weight on the growth and production of potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) is intended to determine the efficiency of using tubers as seed material in potato cultivation. The single factor experiment was carried out using a randomized block design (RAK) consisting of 8 treatments, namely treatment A (Granolla variety with tuber weight 28 – 30 g), B (Granolla variety with tuber weight 31 – 45 g), C (Granolla variety with tuber weight 46 – 60 g), D HPS variety with tuber weight 31 – 45 g (Granolla variety with tuber weight 61 – 80 g), E (HPS variety with tuber weight 28 – 30 g), F (HPS variety with tuber weight 31 – 45 g), G (HPS variety with tuber weight 46 – 60 g), and H treatment (HPS variety with tuber weight 61 – 80 g). Each treatment was repeated four times. The results showed that the results were better for tubers weighing 46 - 60 g than tubers weighing 28 - 45 g, and the results were the same compared to tubers weighing 61 - 80 g, both for the HPS variety and the granolla variety. In developing potato cultivation, it is necessary to pay attention to the availability of quality seeds, the weight of the seed tubers and varieties that are suitable for the land environment. By increasing the production of quality tuber seeds, it is hoped that it can contribute to increasing productivity and potato production
Dwi Retna Suryaningsih Dwi Haryanta Copyright (c) 2024 Dwi Retna Suryaningsih, Dwi Haryanta https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-05-31 2024-05-31 2 1 10 19 10.33005/agrocentrum.v2i1.20 Kajian Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) dengan Aplikasi Beberapa Jenis Pupuk Kandang https://agrocentrum.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/agrocentrum/article/view/19
Many livestock waste has not been utilized, and is even left unused, which will harm environmental health. This research aims to determine the effect of types of manure on the growth and yield of Okra plants (Abelmoschus esculantus L.), and to determine the optimum dose of each type of manure as a reference in recommendations for the use of manure for okra plants. . The single factor experiment used a randomized completly block design (RCBD) with 4 treatments repeated 5 times, namely P0 (without drum fertilizer), P1 (cow manure), P2 (chicken manure), and P3 (goat manure). The results of the research showed that cow manure gave the best results even though it was not significantly different from goat manure, with a production of 12.63 tons / hectare, while the smallest effect was even lower than the control, namely the chicken drum manure treatment. In testing manure and compost (solid organic fertilizer) the maturity level must be the same (mature) by looking at the C/N ratio value.
Dwi Haryanta Surya Ari Widya Erfan Andrianto Aritonang Copyright (c) 2024 Dwi Haryanta, Surya Ari Widya, Erfan Andrianto Aritonang https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-05-31 2024-05-31 2 1 20 28 10.33005/agrocentrum.v2i1.19 Deteksi Bakteri Pseudomonas cichorii Terbawa Benih Sawi Putih Impor Asal Korea Selatan dengan Metode PCR https://agrocentrum.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/agrocentrum/article/view/22
Chinese cabbage (Brassica pekinensis L.) is one of the horticultural commodities that has a high production level in Indonesia. The increase in chinese cabbage production means that the need for chinese cabbage seeds in Indonesia is met through imported. The entry of seeds into a country through imported activities has the potential to as carriers of pathogens, especially bacteria that are OPTK A1 and A2, so it is important to carry out early detection of pathogens to prevent their spread in Indonesia. This research aims to detect bacteria carried by chinese cabbage seeds from South Korea using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method. The results of the observations did not find the target bacteria Pseudomonas cichorii.
Nabila Zahra Safira Rizka Lestari Copyright (c) 2024 Nabila Zahra, Safira https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-05-31 2024-05-31 2 1 29 35 10.33005/agrocentrum.v2i1.22 Susut Bobot dan Kadar Air Tajuk Tanaman Pakcoy Akibat Pengaruh Jenis Media Tanam dan Konsentrasi Nutrisi AB Mix https://agrocentrum.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/agrocentrum/article/view/23
Pakcoy (Brassica rapa subsp. chinensis) is a type of vegetable commonly cultivated using hydroponic systems. The weight loss and moisture content of pakcoy plant shoots can be influenced by the type of growing media and the concentration of AB Mix nutrients. Each type of growing medium has distinct physical and chemical properties. The combination of different AB Mix nutrient concentrations with various growing media types results in varying weight loss and moisture content in the plant shoots. Pakcoy plants with lower weight loss and higher shoot moisture content exhibit better storage resistance. The research method employed was a Factorial Randomized Block Design with two factors: the first factor being the type of growing media (burnt rice husk, cocopeat, rockwool), and the second factor being the concentration of AB Mix nutrients (1,000, 1,200, and 1,400 ppm). The results indicated that rockwool, combined with an AB Mix nutrient concentration of 1,000 ppm, resulted in the lowest weight loss and the highest shoot moisture content compared to other treatments.
Nova Triani Rizky Wahyu Lestari Copyright (c) 2024 Nova Triani, Rizky Wahyu Lestari https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-05-31 2024-05-31 2 1 36 44 10.33005/agrocentrum.v2i1.23 Back Matter https://agrocentrum.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/agrocentrum/article/view/25
Back Matter
Agrocentrum Editor Copyright (c) 2024 Agrocentrum Editor https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-05-31 2024-05-31 2 1 10.33005/agrocentrum.v2i1.25
